Contact Us

Castle Veterinary Centre has made some important changes to the practice to allow disabled clients equal access to our services.

The Disability Discrimination Act became law on 1st October 2004, and in order to comply with this new legislation, we have taken delivery of a portable wheelchair ramp, shown here.

We have also installed a sign by the main door which has a bell push attached. This sign is on the wall by the front door to the practice at wheelchair height.

When the bell is used, a member of staff will take out and set up the ramp which will then allow the wheelchair user easier access. We have also removed bench seating previously installed in Consulting Room 1 and replaced it with two chairs that can be easily moved when a wheelchair user has an appointment at the practice. Our new ‘Chip & Pin’ machine has been left free standing, (not fixed to the desk like in many shops and supermarkets) to allow ease of use by disabled clients, and we have a clipboard available by our reception desk for use by wheelchair users to make the signing of documents easier.
