MAX CAINE

Max Caine was nominated as our Pet Of The Month for May by his owners.

Max, who they describe as ‘..a really brave boy and a star..’ is a 12 year old German Shepherd / Labrador cross breed. As with so many dogs of this breeding, Max has struggled with ‘hip dysplasia’ since he was young. Around 18 months ago he ruptured a cruciate ligament, but had to lose weight before we could safely carry out surgery. Thanks to the determination of his owners Max lost the weight but unfortunately surgery had to be delayed further when he was attacked by another dog. His bite wounds were treated with antibiotics and Max finally had surgery on his stifle early in April this year, and is making a good recovery.

Well done Max and thanks to the Cain family for his nomination.
