One of our newest pieces of equipment is the pulse oximeter. With the probe clipped to the tongue or toe of an anaesthetised animal, we can get continuous information on oxygen saturation, heart rate and expired carbon dioxide concentrations - a great help in monitoring how well an animal is doing under general anaesthetic.
