SAFE FOR YOU, SAFE FOR US...!
Castle Veterinary Centre continues to offer veterinary advice & care for pets within an environment that is safe for clients, their animals & our staff. Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic we have been very grateful to the vast majority of clients who have complied with protocols designed to keep both them & our staff safe & so has enabled us to continue to look after the health & welfare of our patients.
We are now welcoming clients back into consulting rooms, however, after consultation with members of the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS), we will continue to ask clients to wear masks / face coverings & observe social distancing guidelines whilst on the premises - within the Terms & Conditions of our services.
We understand that some people are medically exempt from wearing masks, & so will happily conduct consultations outside, offering the canopy of door 63 for shelter & privacy if required.
For those of us able to protect ourselves & each other by mask wearing, please ensure that the mask is worn correctly over the mouth & nose at all times. If you do not have a mask, we will provide one free of charge. These should be worn with the coloured side outermost & have an inbuilt metal clip which should be gently moulded to the bridge of the nose to help keep it in place. Our policies will be reviewed on a regular basis according to the risks & levels of Covid-19 infection within the community.
Booking an appointment / consultation with us will confirm your consent & acceptance of Castle Veterinary Centre's Terms & Conditions & GDPR (click to open each document)
Dog & Pet Carrier Park
In order to help us minimise the risk of cross infection, please ensure that hand sanitiser is used each time you enter the practice, and we do ask that you leave your face mask/covering on when speaking to any member of our team.
If you are bringing your dog in for an appointment, could you please use a material type lead rather than a hard plastic style one as these fit on to our 'Dog Park' hook (image 1) much easier. For cats and other small pets in baskets, please place these on the area marked 'Pet Carrier Park' (image 2) just past the reception desk on the left.
Once your pet is in place on the hook or carrier park, please return to sit in the marked seating by the bay window area (image 3). Your pet will then be taken through by a member of our nursing team to be seen 'remotely' by the duty vet, who will return to speak with you and report any clinical findings, socially distanced and wearing PPE, from Consulting Room 1 (image 4).
PPE (image 5) will be worn by all staff during any interaction between clients and pets.
